Still on the gringo trail this beach town, popular with hip Brazilians, is accessible only by 4 x 4 jeeps over the sand dunes. While the area occasionally suffers from the odd power cut, the buggy rides, remote lakes, beautiful silver beaches and giant dunes more than make up for the town's hippy overtones.
